    Function billow

    • Billow noise: like fbm, but each octave is folded to 2*abs(noise) - 1, giving puffy, rounded, cloud-like lobes. Given a source in [-1, 1], returns a value in [-1, 1].

      Parameters

      • sample: (frequency: number) => number

        receives an octave frequency, returns the base noise scaled by it

      • octaves: number

        number of octaves to sum

      • lacunarity: number

        frequency multiplier between octaves

      • gain: number

        amplitude multiplier between octaves

      Returns number

      the summed, normalized billow value
